Fung Kuei ("the Operator") provides a guest WiFi service. This Privacy Policy sets out how personal data is collected, used and protected in connection with that service.

Name - Optional, used for personalisation
Device information - MAC address, device type and IP address, for network management
Usage data - Connection times and session duration
Connection metadata - Applications and web domains accessed, and associated data volumes

Network Activity

Connection metadata — the applications and web domains accessed by your device, and associated data volumes — is logged for network security, capacity management and fair-use enforcement. Traffic content is not inspected or decrypted; pages, messages and credentials remain encrypted end-to-end and are not accessible to Fung Kuei. This data is retained for a limited period, is never sold or disclosed to third parties, and is subject to the deletion rights set out below.

Purposes of Processing

Collected data is processed for the following purposes:

Provision and management of WiFi access
Network security and prevention of misuse
Capacity management and fair-use enforcement
Marketing communications, where consent has been given
Service improvement

Data may be shared with third-party providers for the following purposes:

Marketing platforms - Only where consent to marketing communications has been given

Data Retention

Data is retained only for as long as necessary to deliver the service, typically up to 12 months from the last connection. Deletion may be requested at any time.
